1. What kinds of bills do you have to pay?
Sample 1: (band 5.5)
"Well, I have to pay a few bills every month. Like, I pay for electricity and water. Also, I pay rent for my apartment. Sometimes, it's hard to keep track of everything because I get busy, but these are the main bills."
Sample 2: (band 6.5)
"In terms of bills, there are several that I'm responsible for each month. Primarily, these include the rent for my apartment, which is quite a significant amount. Besides that, I handle the utility bills, such as electricity, water, and gas. I also pay for my internet and mobile services, which are essential for staying connected and managing my daily tasks."
Sample 3: (band 7.5)
"Every month, I find myself dealing with a variety of bills, which mainly encompass my housing and utility expenses. The largest of these is certainly my rent, which takes up a significant portion of my budget. In addition to rent, there are the utility bills including electricity, water, and gas. I also pay for my internet and mobile phone services, which are indispensable for both my personal and professional life."
2. How do you usually pay your bills - in cash or by another method?
Sample 1: (band 5.5)
"Mostly, I pay my bills using my bank’s online service. It's just more convenient for me. I rarely use cash because I find it a bit difficult to manage. So, yeah, paying online helps me keep track of my finances better."
Sample 2: (band 6.5)
"I generally prefer to pay all my bills through online banking. This method is not only efficient but also allows me to keep a good record of all transactions. Occasionally, for smaller utilities at local shops or when the internet is down, I might pay in cash, but this is quite rare. Online payments just fit better with my lifestyle and help in managing my monthly budget more effectively."
Sample 3: (band 7.5)
"I predominantly use digital transactions to manage my bill payments, specifically through online banking platforms and mobile apps provided by my bank. This approach not only ensures efficiency but also security and ease of tracking my expenditures. On the rare occasion when digital means are inaccessible, such as during a network outage, I resort to cash payments."
3. Have you ever forgotten to pay a bill?
Sample 1: (band 5.5)
"Yes, I have forgotten to pay a bill before. It was my electricity bill. I just forgot because I was very busy with my work and other things. When I remembered, it was already late, so I had to pay it quickly to avoid any problems."
Sample 2: (band 6.5)
"Indeed, there have been occasions when I've forgotten to pay a bill. One particular instance that stands out is when I missed the deadline for my electricity bill. I was busy with a major project at work and simply lost track of the due date. It slipped my mind until I received a reminder notice."
Sample 3: (band 7.5)
Yes, I have experienced lapses in memory regarding bill payments on a few occasions. The most notable was forgetting my internet bill during a particularly hectic month at work. The realization dawned on me only when my service was briefly interrupted. This incident prompted me to adopt a more robust system for tracking my monthly obligations, utilizing digital reminders and calendar alerts to prevent future occurrences."
4. Is there anything you do to make your bills cheaper?

"Yes, I try to make my bills cheaper by using less electricity. I turn off lights when I don’t need them and don’t use the air conditioner much. It helps to reduce my bills a little bit."
Sample 2: (band 6.5)
"I've taken several measures to reduce my utility bills. For instance, I'm quite careful about my electricity usage. I make sure to switch off appliances and lights when they're not needed and use energy-efficient bulbs throughout my home. Additionally, I keep a close watch on my water consumption to prevent excessive use. These small habits help me manage my expenses more effectively."

"I've adopted several effective strategies to minimize my utility bills, which have become an integral part of my monthly financial management. Primarily, I focus on reducing electricity consumption by ensuring all appliances and lights are switched off when not in use.
